We are delighted to be partnering with a growing transport organisation who are currently managing several large-scale transport and infrastructure projects across Germany.
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the financial oversight of this expanding business unit, working closely with senior stakeholders in Germany and the UK.

The Role
- Prepare and issue accurate, timely invoices to operators
- Support month-end close, including journals (interest, depreciation, tax, EIR, etc.)
- Prepare monthly management accounts and Board reporting packs
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review purchase invoices in Xero, ensuring accurate coding, approval, and timely payment
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers
- Support statutory audits for German SPVs, ensuring timely submissions
- Prepare and submit German and UK VAT returns
- Track and report bid spend for inclusion in Board reports
- Manage and report interest and commitment fees for senior and subordinated debt
About You
- Degree or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or German equivalent)
- Good working knowledge of German and UK GAAP, including FRS 102
- Understanding of German and UK tax compliance
- Strong Excel skills; experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
- Experience with SharePoint or similar platforms desirable
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Eager to grow in a fast-moving, evolving finance function
